Our Vanilla & Spices business unit produces, procures, processes and exports high-quality vanilla, spices, coffee and niche products in Madagascar and Mauritius.
We cultivate vanilla and spices on our own land in the heart of Madagascar’s SAVA region: the vanilla production capital of the world.
Proudly managing our fields and processing facilities in a sustainable manner – in 2019, we obtained the Ecocert organic certification for our land and products.
Furthermore, we strive to preserve and transfer traditional know-how for future generations.
We also source organic and conventional green vanilla and spices from local producers.
In order to ensure the traceability and quality of our products, as well as fair pay for farmers, we work in close collaboration with the Inside Madagascar association and APVAM – which currently brings together more than 600 producers.
Since 2020, we have also implemented organic certification for our local producers, enabling them to create higher-value products.
Having a local presence has given us the privilege of acquiring in-depth knowledge about the cultivation and processing of vanilla – learning from those who have grown and prepared it for generations.
Combining modern technology with traditional know-how maximises both the quality of products and the efficiency of our operations. Our aim is to preserve these techniques and practices so they can be utilised by future generations.
